UPDATE: IT LOOKS LIKE THE SERVICE IS BACK UP AND RUNNING! 5-19-06

It looks like the much loved allofmp3 has gone to sleep for now. The service much like Apples Itunes music store was a place to get entire albums for around a buck. It really was a great service, easy to use, quick and nicely organized. Itunes would do well to take a look at one of its biggest competitors. I havent purchased from itunes nor do i currenlty plan on it. A buck a track is still too high. I would gladly pay between 3 and 5 per album though, is that too low? I would think they would generate more sales that way, instead of buying 2 tracks for 2 bucks, i would purchase the whole album for 5. Im sure lots of people would do the same.

Am i missing something here? Im sad to see it go (I still had money in my account) but im sure something else will pop up. I guess its back to the good ol days of free tracks on p2p networks even though i would prefer to pay 5 bucks for an album, 10 is just too much.
